Last week at the DREAM center “Elard Alumando” of Blantyre, in Malawi, a workshop took place called “Guaranteeing excellence in the diagnostic procedure and in managing the laboratory. The role of the laboratory in DREAM 2.0”. The workshop was attended by the managers of the most important laboratories established by the DREAM Program of the Community of Sant’Egidio in Africa, originating from Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, DRC and Malawi itself. Total invests in clean energy

2016-11-08_total_malawiTOTAL Malawi has invested in a solar project worth K300 million as part of its corporate social responsibilily initiatives for support delivery of quality healthcare in the country. The project contructed with funds from Total Foundation, wlll provide sustainable power to benefit communities under Sant’Egidio’s Children Feeding Centres aand Dream Centres across the country.
Speaking in Blantyre at a ceremony to mark the completion ofthe project, Total Malawi Managing Director, Seggie Kistasamy said the initiative will promote the use of clean energy in light of prevaling electricity challenges in the country.  (. . .)

The solar energy behind DREAM

05A ceremony was held for the delivery of 7 solar energy systems installed between the second half of 2015 and the first months of 2016, as part of the “A solar DREAM for Malawi” project financed by Fondazione Total through Total Malawi. The ceremony took place in the nutritional center of the Community of Sant’Egidio in Machinjiri, located near Blantyre in Malawi, and was attended by the Manager of Total Malawi, Seggie Kistasamy.
